A Squadron Of Naked Ghosts Take The High Road

Tonight's post makes a full month of Naked Ghost posts and photos. I hope you have enjoyed them so far.

I was planning not to roam and ramble tonight on account of work that I needed to get done around the house and with some projects I am deep into. Plus I have been helping with maths homework.

After consultation with my wife and due consideration I changed my plans and headed out a bit later than I probably would have. Just a note FYI, my wife is not SWMBO. Got it? WWNNSNMSNM.

Without further ado, I give you this surprising shot of:

Somehow I don't think they are headed for Scotland though. Upcoming referendum of no.

3 Naked Ghosts In A Tight Spot

So I went on a longer ramble this evening. The weather was fine. After a world of rain last night and this morning.

There wasn't exactly a chill in the air by any means. But... It was obvious that the oppressive heat that has been hanging around lately was at the very least taking a little time off.

I went all the way up to the eastern end of the island and hung out for a good while enjoying the breeze, the sea, the waves, the gulls, and more.

I got a number of interesting shots. Some I may end up using here in the future. I will have to examine the images more closely.

I waited too late to head home and was into a booking walk when I noticed I was approaching a stump that had been removed from the ground.

I heard strange noises coming from its general vicinity and went to make a closer inspection.

Check out what I found in a saw cut:

I am not sure what they thought they were doing up in there but despite the restricted confines, they seemed to be having a ball.

2 Naked Ghosts Passed Out From 1 Last Kalik

This one will have to be quick. She's a storming outside. Thunder and Lightning! I have to get off this box

I got some sweet photos on my ramble this evening. I had a hard time choosing. If I had managed to get a shot of those Naked Ghosts dancing around the lightning you can be sure I would have used it. As it was, my timing was off. Maybe next time. FYI, there was the start of a spout in the same storm.

So, back to the main subject, near the beginning of my ramble I noticed a goodly collection of spirit containers on a driveway.

Further on down the road I managed to get this shot:

So, two spirits passed out by one spirit container on account of too much spirits. Does that sound about right? What's up with these Bahamian spirits?

11 Naked Ghosts Inspect A Feather

Let's make this short and sweet today shall we? Great.

The other day as I was heading west after a ramble in the east, I was coming around a bend. The sun was in my eyes. I was looking down at the road in an effort to let my hat's visor shade my eyes a little.

What a stroke of luck that proved to be! I spied a feather on the ground. And around the feather, going around and around, I spied

It could have been some sort of Naked Ghost ritual, I am not sure. I know the sounds they were making were eery and unnerving.

4 Naked Ghosts Sneak Up On A Lonely Bird

Sometimes you just get lucky.

Tonight was one of those nights. I was tied up in meetings from about one o'clock on today. I had thought I would have a few moments in between meetings or after the last one to go out shooting but time filled in before slipping away. No photos of any sort were taken much less any of Naked Ghosts.

I did spy out a few places that I think I may stake out in the future as likely Naked Ghost hang outs and watering holes. That is for another day though.

So I came home late to a fantastic dinner which I had to wolf down. I say "had to" but it is not like someone had a gun to my head or anything like that. It is just that the family had finished eating before I got home and I had to carry out the compost, and the garbage, and it was getting dark... So, I wolfed it down.

Anyway, as I was taking out the garbage, I saw the most wonderful scene in the evening sky. A fantastic cloud, lit white by the lowering sun. Behind a grey cloud promising rain. I did not have my camera with my as I was taking out the garbage.

I rushed back inside. Grabbed the bag I had taken over to the Wolf's house for an earlier meeting. Whipped out the little camera bag. Unzipped the camera bag and took out the camera. I dashed outside. It probably took me longer to right that than to do it. Well perhaps not but it did not take long at all.

I was too late. The white cloud was in hiding and the grey cloud was beginning to make good on its promise.

I saw a bird on a wire and decided to try and at least get a shot of that. As I turned on the camera and brought it to bear on the bird, I noticed:

The scene was actually quite a bit darker than it appears here but the camera set a very long exposure time and I let it. Also, I did not post process this. This is straight out of the box, as it were.

Enjoy.

2 Naked Ghosts Taking a Shoreline Shower

So what happened was this. I was out walking about in the east late this afternoon. It was late enough so that the heat of the day was no longer upon this part of the earth but it was still hot. Because of this, I had decided on an Eastern Road route in the hopes of getting a bit of a cooling sea breeze.

There may have been some, I cannot say now. It was hot enough that I do not remember noticing.

As I came around a bend, I cut out to get closer to the water. I hoped to get some nice pics with waves and whitecaps. I do remember whitecaps. I guess there must have been some breeze.

I was trying to get some pics of the waves crashing against the shore and the water spraying into the air. I really could not get the timing right.

Luckily though, I did get one that was not too bad and even more amazing was that in the exact same photo I spotted:

2 Naked Ghosts Taking a Shoreline Shower

It really is quite something all of the "fun"these Naked Ghosts are getting up to lately.

Do you agree?

7 Naked Ghosts Departing Via The Eastern Gate

No, really, they are not Ghost Riders In The Sky. Naked or not does not even come into it.

Don't you think it is closer to a clownish Pinocchio than a cloudy draw in any case?

Going further afield, around my house (and my grandfather's house) when I was growing up, the variation was along the lines of:

"Crawling up his ragged pants,
And in his ragged draws."

And along with it was often misquoted:

"The boy stood on the burning deck,
His feet were full of blisters.
The flames came up and burnt his drawers
So now he wears his sisters."

After that someone would get around to the "One dark day in the middle of the night" and so on.

OK, let's get back to it shall we?

So the other morning I was out walking around in the east, looking for interesting sights to capture on my virtual film in my digital camera.

Much to my surprise and delight, I happened to catch a glimpse of:

these 7 Naked Ghosts Departing Via The Eastern Gate.

I think they were trying to get out of Dodge before everyone woke up and spied them but honestly, they must have been Bahamian Naked Ghosts as they were too late if that was their intention.

Well, either that or they were counting on all the living folks in the area being Bahamian in their waking hours. Whatever is was, I managed to get this lovely shot of them before they faded from sight in the east.
