A Squadron Of Naked Ghosts Take The High Road

Tonight's post makes a full month of Naked Ghost posts and photos. I hope you have enjoyed them so far.

I was planning not to roam and ramble tonight on account of work that I needed to get done around the house and with some projects I am deep into. Plus I have been helping with maths homework.

After consultation with my wife and due consideration I changed my plans and headed out a bit later than I probably would have. Just a note FYI, my wife is not SWMBO. Got it? WWNNSNMSNM.

Without further ado, I give you this surprising shot of:

A Squadron Of Naked Ghosts Taking The High Road.

Somehow I don't think they are headed for Scotland though. Upcoming referendum of no.

3 Naked Ghosts In A Tight Spot

So I went on a longer ramble this evening. The weather was fine. After a world of rain last night and this morning.

There wasn't exactly a chill in the air by any means. But... It was obvious that the oppressive heat that has been hanging around lately was at the very least taking a little time off.

I went all the way up to the eastern end of the island and hung out for a good while enjoying the breeze, the sea, the waves, the gulls, and more.

I got a number of interesting shots. Some I may end up using here in the future. I will have to examine the images more closely.

I waited too late to head home and was into a booking walk when I noticed I was approaching a stump that had been removed from the ground.

I heard strange noises coming from its general vicinity and went to make a closer inspection.

Check out what I found in a saw cut:

3 Naked Ghosts In A Tight Spot.

I am not sure what they thought they were doing up in there but despite the restricted confines, they seemed to be having a ball.

2 Naked Ghosts Passed Out From 1 Last Kalik

This one will have to be quick. She's a storming outside. Thunder and Lightning! I have to get off this box

I got some sweet photos on my ramble this evening. I had a hard time choosing. If I had managed to get a shot of those Naked Ghosts dancing around the lightning you can be sure I would have used it. As it was, my timing was off. Maybe next time. FYI, there was the start of a spout in the same storm.

So, back to the main subject, near the beginning of my ramble I noticed a goodly collection of spirit containers on a driveway.

Further on down the road I managed to get this shot:

2 Naked Ghosts Passed Out From 1 Last Kalik.

So, two spirits passed out by one spirit container on account of too much spirits. Does that sound about right? What's up with these Bahamian spirits?

11 Naked Ghosts Inspect A Feather

Let's make this short and sweet today shall we? Great.

The other day as I was heading west after a ramble in the east, I was coming around a bend. The sun was in my eyes. I was looking down at the road in an effort to let my hat's visor shade my eyes a little.

What a stroke of luck that proved to be! I spied a feather on the ground. And around the feather, going around and around, I spied

11 Naked Ghosts Inspecting The Feather.

It could have been some sort of Naked Ghost ritual, I am not sure. I know the sounds they were making were eery and unnerving.

4 Naked Ghosts Sneak Up On A Lonely Bird

Sometimes you just get lucky.

Tonight was one of those nights. I was tied up in meetings from about one o'clock on today. I had thought I would have a few moments in between meetings or after the last one to go out shooting but time filled in before slipping away. No photos of any sort were taken much less any of Naked Ghosts.

I did spy out a few places that I think I may stake out in the future as likely Naked Ghost hang outs and watering holes. That is for another day though.

So I came home late to a fantastic dinner which I had to wolf down. I say "had to" but it is not like someone had a gun to my head or anything like that. It is just that the family had finished eating before I got home and I had to carry out the compost, and the garbage, and it was getting dark... So, I wolfed it down.

Anyway, as I was taking out the garbage, I saw the most wonderful scene in the evening sky. A fantastic cloud, lit white by the lowering sun. Behind a grey cloud promising rain. I did not have my camera with my as I was taking out the garbage.

I rushed back inside. Grabbed the bag I had taken over to the Wolf's house for an earlier meeting. Whipped out the little camera bag. Unzipped the camera bag and took out the camera. I dashed outside. It probably took me longer to right that than to do it. Well perhaps not but it did not take long at all.

I was too late. The white cloud was in hiding and the grey cloud was beginning to make good on its promise.

I saw a bird on a wire and decided to try and at least get a shot of that. As I turned on the camera and brought it to bear on the bird, I noticed:

4 Naked Ghosts Sneaking Up On The Lonely Bird

The scene was actually quite a bit darker than it appears here but the camera set a very long exposure time and I let it. Also, I did not post process this. This is straight out of the box, as it were.

Enjoy.

2 Naked Ghosts Taking a Shoreline Shower

So what happened was this. I was out walking about in the east late this afternoon. It was late enough so that the heat of the day was no longer upon this part of the earth but it was still hot. Because of this, I had decided on an Eastern Road route in the hopes of getting a bit of a cooling sea breeze.

There may have been some, I cannot say now. It was hot enough that I do not remember noticing.

As I came around a bend, I cut out to get closer to the water. I hoped to get some nice pics with waves and whitecaps. I do remember whitecaps. I guess there must have been some breeze.

I was trying to get some pics of the waves crashing against the shore and the water spraying into the air. I really could not get the timing right.

Luckily though, I did get one that was not too bad and even more amazing was that in the exact same photo I spotted:

2 Naked Ghosts Taking a Shoreline Shower

It really is quite something all of the "fun"these Naked Ghosts are getting up to lately.

Do you agree?

7 Naked Ghosts Departing Via The Eastern Gate

No, really, they are not Ghost Riders In The Sky. Naked or not does not even come into it.

Don't you think it is closer to a clownish Pinocchio than a cloudy draw in any case?

Going further afield, around my house (and my grandfather's house) when I was growing up, the variation was along the lines of:

"Crawling up his ragged pants,
And in his ragged draws."

And along with it was often misquoted:

"The boy stood on the burning deck,
His feet were full of blisters.
The flames came up and burnt his drawers
So now he wears his sisters."

After that someone would get around to the "One dark day in the middle of the night" and so on.

OK, let's get back to it shall we?

So the other morning I was out walking around in the east, looking for interesting sights to capture on my virtual film in my digital camera.

Much to my surprise and delight, I happened to catch a glimpse of:

these 7 Naked Ghosts Departing Via The Eastern Gate.

I think they were trying to get out of Dodge before everyone woke up and spied them but honestly, they must have been Bahamian Naked Ghosts as they were too late if that was their intention.

Well, either that or they were counting on all the living folks in the area being Bahamian in their waking hours. Whatever is was, I managed to get this lovely shot of them before they faded from sight in the east.

5 Naked Ghosts Rock the Games

You remember those Pan Galactic Naked Ghost Games that I wrote about yesterday right? Well the organizers of the games go all out.  Not only do they put on the multiverse's best opening and closing ceremonies, they have constant music and entertainment during the sporting events as well.

Now, while some sporting purists talk of making sports into the equivalent of a 3 ring circus, most in the Naked Ghost community quite enjoy a good 3 ring circus as it were. Virtually speaking if not imagineerily speaking.

Now one thing many don't know is that Naked Ghosts don't really go in for overly amplified music. It is not that they don't like loud music mind you. Oh no! On the contrary, they like to rock the house at ear splitting volume!

I know. This does not make much sense to most people at first. However, this is on account of another thing that many don't know about Naked Ghosts. You see, Naked Ghosts have very, very, good hearing. Because of this little known fact, they don't need amplification even though they play their music at what we would consider 11.

So getting back to those Games we were speaking of, you can imagine how loud their cheering must have sounded to them if I heard it from the other side of the "Laughing Hills." (Same for that cavorting I have previously written about come to think of it!) Anyone, I was walking around the field taking photos of the various sporting events and generally enjoying myself. As I was passing the BBQ area, there was a lull in the cheering and very faintly I heard the most wonderful, rocking music.

Looking at the bandstand I saw:

5 Naked Ghosts Rocking the Games

I think you would have gotten a real kick out of the music that day.

4 Naked Ghosts try to Break the Record for the Naked Mile at the Pan Galactic Naked Ghost Games

Well, the other day I was out and about, roaming and rambling as I like to do. I  was on a route that I don't often take on foot.

I was approaching some of the "Laughing Hills" when I heard loud cheers coming from over those same hills. It sounded exciting.

I got my trusty camera ready just in case I should come upon some newsworthy event in the near future.

Well, let me tell you, what I found on the other side of the hill was simply amazing. I know you would not be able to believe it if you did not have such a finely developed ability to suspend your disbelief.

Feast your eyes and your imagination on:

3 Naked Ghosts Stalking a Living Rat

I know, I know. If you have been reading these Naked Ghost capers you may very well think we are having a bona fide outbreak of Naked Ghosts here in the islands. I don't rightly know, you may indeed be right.

What I know we have way too many of though are living rats.

As I go about minding my business on my walks I am seeing rats all over the place. It really is quite nasty.

I cannot remember it being this way in my childhood days. Perhaps it was and I was just not paying attention to the same things. Anyone care to comment?

So the other day I was out rambling and had already seen living rats running about the place in more than one location. I banked a corner and heard some movement in the bushes. When I first looked, I saw a small family of rats having a ball on a mound of dirt and refuse. Soon though, most scattered leaving one alone and that is when I noticed these 3 Naked Ghosts Stalking a Living Rat

Yup, they were after him alright. I am not sure what for.

Can you spot the rat?

What about the 3 naked ghosts?

2 Naked Ghosts Hooked Up And Ready For Battle

Here we see 2 Naked Ghosts Hooked Up And Ready For Battle

No, those reddish things are not Naked Ghosts, stop playing around. I know you know that those are their weapons of choice for this battle.

Yes, they are likely to be Bahamian Naked Ghosts. After all, this picture was taken in the Bahamas and I have never seen this form of battle anywhere else in all my born days.

Just in case you don't remember or are unfamiliar with this form of battle, one warrior holds on to the white part at the end of one weapon. The other warrior does the same with the other weapon. When the master of the tournament gives the signal, the warriors engage. The one who loses the little piece at the end of the weapon loses the battle. (And in rare cases is put to death. OK, OK, I have never actually heard of anyone being put to death after losing, I just added that for dramatic effect. In any case, that would not apply to Naked Ghosts now would it?)

Enjoy today's Naked Ghost photo.

4 Naked Ghosts Explore the Ruins of the Green of Hearts Bowling Palace

Right off the top I want to let you know that this is a multi-picture day. It takes these two pictures to capture what needs to be seen in order to get an understanding of the scope of the ruins and the antics of the Naked Ghosts.

First off we have 2 of the Naked Ghosts trying to balance themselves on top of the:

Green of Hearts Bowling Ball

And not doing too good a job as you can see here. Could they have partaken of more spirits that is good for their balance?

Next we see the other 2 Naked Ghosts giving their attention to the Green of Hearts Bowling Pin.

I will not even try to describe the foolishness we see them getting up to here.

I know that the Green of Hearts Bowling Palace is not well known in the islands. It was a semi-well kept secret and thus business was  not all it could have been with proper marketing.

As you can see though, that is not bothering these Naked Ghosts at all. The rumour is that ghosts, and Naked Ghosts in particular, like ruins.

1 Rebel Naked Ghost, Caught Short, Squatting in the Bush

Rebel as in breaking the rules, rebellion, teenage type stuff. Not the rebel from the South of the U.S.A. This is the islands.

Hopefully, this is about the most disgusting Naked Ghost photo you will ever see me post for this blog.

So I spent most of the day indoors working on one thing or another. I finished up the main part of the first draft of a short book I am working on with the working title of:

The Book Of Virgins

Also of late I have been trying to learn the little program that helps you create crossword puzzles. I am making very slow progress. I made my third crossword today as a part of my learning process.

So, feeling a little stir crazy, when this evening rolled around, I suited up and headed out with my trusty camera for a walk and photo shoot.

It was clear from the start that the breeze was picking up some. I also saw the right and left sides of a wanna be rainbow. Just a tiny little bit on each side with nothing in between.

So we have the breeze picking up from a wanna be Tropical Storm (Currently Tropical Depression Four) and a wanna be rainbow. I guess there are some things I wanna be too so all is good I suppose. What say you?

OK, so I come up near the top of this small hill and I hear some rustling and straining in the bush off to the South. I bank a right down a side street and right at the beginning down low I see this sign that says "NO DUMPING ALLOWED" - fair enough right?

So I look behind the sign in the bush and see this:

1 Rebel Naked Ghost, Caught Short, Squatting in the Bush

Things are really getting out of hand down on this little rock I call home. You think that bear family will help out a Naked Ghost? If not he better look out for poison wood and money tamarind.

2 Naked Ghosts Enjoying A Soak In Their Natural Hot Tub

I am sure that you know that life is not always a bed of roses for Naked Ghosts. In point of fact, some days can be very hard for a regular, run of the mill, average Naked Ghost.

For instance, can you imagine how hard it must be for a Naked Ghost to walk against the wind? Much less to run against the wind...

Know this, it will come as less of a surprise that I was able to get this interesting shot:

2 Naked Ghosts Enjoying A Soak In Their Natural Hot Tub

Just imagine you are a hard working Naked Ghost. You have been out all day trying to scare up some business as best you can. Going door to door. Having the door slammed in your face over and *over* again.

So you meet up with another hard working Naked Ghost and decide to go for a swim to cool off, which you do and that is great an all but even better is that you spot this natural hot tub on the way to the sea and after cooling off, you lie back to soak up the warmth and ease your tired and sore non-muscles.

You kick back and enjoy the evening as the sun sinks down.

Ahhh. I would say life's good but you know how it is.

2 Naked Ghosts Take The Sharp Way To The Top

Some people are sharp as tacks. (They might want to congregate in the form of an institute.) Some people are know for sharp practice. One or two might like to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

Not these two Naked Ghosts. No, these two seem to have decided to take the sharp way to the top.

Feast your eyes on this thorny problem and their innovative solution.

2 Naked Ghosts Take The Sharp Way To The Top

I have always loved these trees. Understand, I am not saying that I have loved them from the day I was born. My memories from that day are not accessible to me on demand. Go figure. Never the less, the statement as true in so far as usage in normal human discourse.

When I lived on the pig farm in south beach on Marshall Drive (now called Road) I brought one home from the bush somewhere and planted it in the back yard. It did not die, but it was no speed grower. It was more like the growing equivalent of a Bahamian work to rule action. Not quite as bad as the citrus tree in the yard of the castle house down by Bonefish Pond but dead slow none the less.

In 30 years or more it probably never made 30 feet. Probably closer to 20.

Back then I was into Florida Championship Wrestling and for some strange reason I used to imagine getting whipped across the ring into a ring post that was really one of these bad boys. Not sure where that came from...

3 Naked Ghosts Board a Native Dingy With Piratical Intent

The Islands of the Bahamas are famed for their historical piracy. Their former motto was based around this history.

That may be why we are seeing all of these Naked Ghosts with piratical intent in these photos so far. This photo today will make the third such photo since we started this little effort.

I am sure a quick net search will provide a wealth of details if you are interested. Also, I have written on the subject a bit myself in my NaNo Novels.

Without further ado I give you:

3 Naked Ghosts Board a Native Dingy With Piratical Intent

I know, you are right. It looks like such a tranquil scene until you look closer and notice what is truly going on.

142 Naked Ghosts Finally Get To The Point

Despite their sort of ethereal, insubstantial, and incorporeal nature, naked ghosts can be somewhat dense at times. I know this simple fact may be somewhat hard for you to believe but it is the way things are none the less. I must tell you that today was one of those times.

I had been following these 142 Naked Ghosts wondering where they were headed. At the same time, I was listening to one of their number talking on and on about something I could not quite figure out. It was almost as if she was acting as some sort of ghostly tour guide but I could not really make sense of anything no matter how close I paid attention to shat was being said.

First they were headed in one direction, then another, then before I knew it they had doubled back on themselves and I had to duck into a bush to avoid being seen. This went on for hours, all over the eastern end of the island until finally, sometime this evening:

142 Naked Ghosts Finally Get To The Point

Honestly, for a while there it felt like I was listening to a shaggy dog story but they did finally get to the point so everything worked out ok in the end. I left them there at the point and headed west towards home.

Before too long, I heard them ahead of me once again. Proceeding with a certain amount of caution, I saw that they had now finally reached:

142 Naked Ghosts Finally Reach...

Get it?

If two more show up, things will get really gross right Bo-Peep?

5 Trail Weary Naked Ghosts Trying To Get Out Of Dodge

Do I have some new for you!

AS I was out walking the blacktop this fine evening, I heard the sound of ghostly gun play. Ducking for cover, I made my way towards the ruckus.

I drew my trusty photo box and started shooting. I got this:

As you can see, here we have 5 Trail Weary Naked Ghosts Trying To Get Out Of Dodge. Ghostly bullets flying. I think it might have been the Ghostly Sheriff of Dodge Road trying to run them off. For all I know, they may have been roaming Dodge Road, drinking and carrying on and looking for Web Shops to do a bit of you know what-ing in.

They must have been semi-law abiding naked ghosts though as they did stop in keeping with the dictates of the round sign that you can see the back of there in the picture.

Eventually though, the bullets were flying too thick and heavy and they must have feared that they might be on the verge of becoming ghost naked ghosts and they lit out like a bat out of you know where.

4 Naked Ghosts Study Concrete Raft Theory

I tell you what. I went out with the Wolf today and I got some nice pics where you can find here:

Sun Aug 17 2014

The thing is, a quick search did not turn up any naked ghosts lurking about anywhere. I may yet find some on closer inspection but I am not holding my breath.

I just went out a while ago and took some more pics but did not notice anything strange while out and about.

So what I did was this... I went back through some old photos and low and behold I spotted:

4 Naked Ghosts Studying Concrete Raft Theory. And practice come to think of it.

As you can see, they are very excited to learn how effective concrete rafts can be given the right set of circumstances. Notice how they use ghostly measuring equipment to determine the distances concrete rafts can float over normally dry land.

A Horde of Marauding Naked Hosts Strip Mine a Guinep Tree

I know today's post may be hard for you to believe. I know it is asking a lot of you to seek your suspension of disbelief in a case like this but I ask anyway. I ask that you consider the evidence that I will place before your eyes.

If you can't trust your own eyes, whose eyes can you trust?

As you may know, back on August 7th., I posted and article and photo of 42 Naked Ghosts Raiding a Guinep Tree!

Well, I guess raiding the guineps was not enough for those naked ghosts. I guess those 42 were just the advance guard as it were. Scouting out the land in order to come back with a horde and wreak destruction of biblical proportions on the same poor guinep tree.

So when I went out side for a short ramble this afternoon I looked up wanting to find a guinep or two to enjoy only to see A Horde of Marauding Naked Hosts Strip Mine the Guinep Tree. Simply shocking I tell you!

If you are easily shocked, you probably do not want to look too closely at that picture right there. The same caution applies to letting your young children see the picture.

4 Intense Naked Ghosts Scare a Wanna Be Johnny Rat Stiff

So I pulled out of this driveway the other day and I saw this rat on the ground. I could not stop to investigate the situation at the time as I had to head out and get my son something for lunch. He is having a hard time food wise since getting braces installed. (Well, he may be playing it up some but I am sure it is bothering considering the things he loves I have seen him pass up since the installation. Hmmm, I wonder if a dentist could do such an installation as art?)

In any case, after I returned with the comestibles and they had been dutifully consumed, I went out to investigate further.

I set my trusty camera to auto time warp mode and managed to go back in time and get the picture you see here:

4 Intense Naked Ghosts Scare a Wanna Be Johnny Rat Stiff

If you look closely, you can see the virtual cold emanating from the four ghosts as they perform a ring play in an intense manner around the just stiff rodent. Ethereal whispered strains of Brown Girl entered my grey matter as I took the low angle shot.

If anyone has an alternate explanation for this situation I would be pleased to hear it. You need to come strong though if you want to overcome this photographic evidence!

9 Piratical Naked Ghosts Attempt to Steal Hoisted Gold

Well, the naked ghost pics I managed to take today would be too upsetting to delicate sensibilities to allow me to make them public. As I result, I went back thought some of the pictures I have taken recently with a bit more care to see if there were any naked ghosts I had so far overlooked.

Luckily I noticed these previously missed naked ghosts:

9 Piratical Naked Ghosts Attempt to Steal Hoisted Gold

I wonder where the X is in this case. Or does X mark the spot for hoisted gold the was it does for buried gold and other buried treasure? This is something I don't recall pondering before. What say you gentle reader?

This makes two sets of piratical naked ghosts now. I wonder if it relates to these islands and their history.

2 Scared Naked Ghosts Hiding Under a Couch

Well, I got a suggestion recently that I might want to contact a certain group represented by a logo that looks a lot like this but with a cartoon ghost in place of the U turn graphic.

I already made a small effort to do just that as explained in

42 Naked Ghosts Raid a Guinep Tree

with no luck.

I must say though, that so far at least, these naked ghosts don't seem to be bothering anyone to any great extent.

It could be that due to the recent trend / craze with respect to all things naked that people are finding their antics a little more acceptable. I mean, you would almost think that naked is the new naked.

Naked wedding cakes. Naked Sushi. Naked juice. Naked Tourism. Naked Options. Naked Trading.  Barenaked Ladies.. Naked this and naked that. See what I mean?

So here comes today. I am sitting at my desk when I hear a scuffle out in the living room. Grabbing my camera with aplomb and panache I dash out the door and notice flashes of light and wisps of a smoke like substance coming out from under the couch. I lay down gracefully on my non-naked stomach and managed to take this shot before it all ended, there they were:

2 Scared Naked Ghosts Hiding Under a Couch

Not sure what exactly they were scared of. It is not a very scary house. I have lived in other houses that like to howl in the night and sometimes in the day before but this one is generally quite mild mannered.

1 Lonely Naked Ghost Howls At The Moon

Sometimes, life seems like one big party. Fun in the sun. In the sun, on the sand, and in or on the sea. Hopefully not in the sand too often unless you are out to catch Seagull on Cannon by hand. Raucous time spent with friends in party mode.

Then again.

Sometimes you have to go look up a lemonade recipe. Take you pick. Down here in the islands it is more likely to be limeade or one based on sour orange but tonight I write for a wider audience.

I was out roaming around at night recently (never you mind why) when I looked up at the moon and the electrickery wires. Thankfully, I did not see 3 Naked Ghosts On A High Wire.

What I did see though was still a sight to behold. A sight to break a heart. A sight to bring tears to dry eyes.

Yes friends, I looked up and saw:

1 Lonely Naked Ghost Howling At The Moon!

I sat down in the grass and listened to the sound of heartache in the night. I thought of my friend Wolf and his howling ways. I knew he would not fail to be moved by the sounds in the night.

Do you think that 1 Naked Ghost could perhaps be more lonely than the Man In The Moon?

2 Naked Ghosts Rashly Assault A Royal

So I had noticed something special the other day when I took this picture but for some reason never too the time to examine it closely to see what it was that had caught my eye in a subliminal sort of way.

Well, I was reconfiguring Shotwell  on my Ubuntu box today and took a close look. You will be surprised at that I saw next:

2 Naked Ghosts Rashly Assaulting A Royal. Can you believe it. I know it borders on the fantastic. I mean I know they have all of their ghostly climbing gear and all that but still. A Royal? Don't they know how dangerous that can be? They better be glad they did not try this on a cloudy, moonlit night with the wind moaning through the fronds: "Off with their heads!"

Need to know better than messing with Royals like that.

And just to be clear, this Royal is not isolated and without support, if you look closely, you will see flame red flowers from some of its relatives in the frame. Those naked ghosts must be Thrill Seekers, Daredevils if you will!

Wait! This kind of Daredevil, not that other kind.

At least they were not trying to Free Climb that Royal!

Enjoy.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on with all of these Naked Ghosts appearances lately?

21 Naked Ghosts Weave A Web Of Destruction

So I went out walking with my lovely wife this morning and all was going well. We were talking a bit but also concentrating on our walking and breathing. I had stopped once or twice already to take a picture of this or that while she forged ahead. After snapping the pic, I then picked up the pace and caught up.

As I say, all was going well as we walked toward the east and the morning sun. The good times were not to last.

I noticed a strange pattern of shining light off to the south. I slowed down as my wife once again forged ahead. Little did I know what I was getting myself into.

Carefully, I made my way across the low grass, camera in hand and already turned on hoping to get some interesting shot for the day. One thing for sure. I had not counted on:

21 Naked Ghosts Weaving A Web Of Destruction

Now, if you look carefully, you may think this is a simple spider web spun by the spider sitting so still. Getting her morning practice of "sitting beside her" in before the heat of the day really kicks in.

I urge you to look more carefully still. What you see here is far from a simple spider web glowing in the morning sunshine. No my friends, this is the fiendish result of 21 Naked Ghosts Weaving A Web Of Destruction! Take care! Do not stare at this picture for too long! Once you have seen the Naked Ghosts and  taken the time to count them and have assured yourself that there are indeed 21 of them playing their dirty game here, look away! And don't look back. It could be dangerous to your health and indeed, to your sanity.

32 Piratical Naked Ghosts Storm Fort Montagu

So I was cruising around in my FIT yesterday (by a strange coincidence I also went to FIT where I gained a BS in OE) when I decided to make a loop as I came around the bend where I used to stand up with aplomb with my head sticking out of the sunroof of Mike Robjohns' red pinto as Witchy Woman blasted.

So I cut in towards Montagu Beach and all of the fine renovations and improvements that have been put in since way back in the day and hang a left to head back west towards the old fort.

As I approached the fort, imagine my surprise and utter dismay when I saw:

32 Piratical Naked Ghosts Storm Fort Montagu

While a lone seagull pondered their folly.

Better late than never hey? Could these all be Bahamian Piratical Naked Ghosts?

I wonder if any of those PNGs could have been a Roberts from long ago? I have seen tales of Roberts and Piracy before now in various forms.

4096 Naked Ghosts Mash de Roach on the Head of a Pin while a band of 6 Naked Ghosts from a Southern Island play a mean Rake n Scrape!

Today I managed to capture an unusual photo of 4096 Naked Ghosts dancing on the head of a pin. While 6 Naked Ghosts in a Rake n Scrape band played some mean and at times haunting music for them to dance to.

I know they can be hard to see at first but look carefully and you should soon see them.

Do not try to use the angle of the pin's shadow to determine the time the photo was taken! You may have better luck trying to track down that info by other means. I am not sure at this time.

Do not! I repeat, do *not* try and glean any information from the shape of the larger shadow. The pin and the naked ghosts are really the only thing you should give your attention to in this photo.

42 Naked Ghosts Raid a Guinep Tree

So I am out in my yard this morning with my camera, walking around in my bare feet in the cool damp grass. Having a good time. Taking a few more pictures of fruit in the trees (or just from the threes) for a friend up in Canada.

Fruit in the Trees

Yes, I know the scarlet plums are still green and not yet scarlet but I was out and about and took the pic ok...

So, I am out in the back yard enjoying myself and my bare feet while taking a few photos when I hear strange noises coming from the front of the house.  Strange laughter, rustling leaves, complex rhythms, futuristic digital sounds, ancient moans, it is hard to describe.

So I head towards the front of the house and look up in my guinep tree and you will not believe what happened next!

There they are! 42, count em, 42 Naked Ghosts Raiding a Guinep Tree!

Now I know that we have been led for years to believe that 42 is *the* answer, but let me assure you, this morning, 42 was the *problem*... Ya feel me?

They were carrying on bad! I am surprised my neighbours did not come give me grief but then again, I have nice neighbours. You should be so blessed. With neighbours that is. I don't wish 42 Naked Ghosts on anyone.

Does anyone know if there is a government department that a person can report Naked Ghost problems to? Can you give me a phone number or and email address of someone to contact?

I tried looking up Ghost Busters in the white pages but there was not a single entry for Ghost in the book. And only two entries with a G followed by an H period. I did not think I should bother them. I know how annoying it can be to get wrong number calls. I am frequently getting calls for Bay Street Garage (located on Dowdeswell Street) and others as well. The Tynes family and sometimes in the past Sandilands.

3 Naked Ghosts On A High Wire

So along comes yesterday evening and I find myself having an iVision.

I guess I really should write a Vision.i or something similar. Think a + bi where a=0 and b=Vision. Got it? Good. If it all seems a bit complex, you are on the right track.

So, in my iVision, I saw 3 Naked Ghosts performing a daredevil, dare I say death defying, high wire act of three ring circus proportions on "high tension" lines. What an act!

However, despite the fantastic act I saw in my iVision, I was unable to act at the time.

I woke this morning with a purpose though. Neglecting, hopefully only temporarily, my fitness, I grabbed my trusty camera and hopped in my trusty FIT and headed out. Eyes scanning wires running from pole to pole, searching for naked ghosts.

Success! It came out of the corner of my eye! I pulled across the street and parked in order to enjoy the thrilling and highly tense show. The things those three naked ghosts were able to do on those three skinny wires so far above the ground were simply imazing! You really should have been there.

I was able to take this one photo of them in the middle of a particularly thrilling and dangerous part of their act though. I hope you enjoy:

7 Naked Ghosts Cavorting at the Beach

So I was out walking yesterday. Minding my own business and having a fine time in the baking Bahamian sunshine. It was hot. I was not really minding it much though. I can't tell you why.
When I say it was hot, it was hot. Not so hot as to melt the road but I did wonder at one point if my shoes could take it as I felt the heat reaching my poor feet. They are old shoes but still I wondered.

So there I was heading east on the Eastern Road. In the heat. Did I mention it was hot? Walking on the right side of the road. (We drive on the left down here in these islands, at least when we are obeying the traffic laws. Strangely enough, despite all of the traffic laws that we regularly break, this is one we generally obey. Sort of, most of the time, if you don't count crossing solid lines too carefully.)

Up ahead (sort if in the distance, sort of near) I heard laughter and other cavorting sounds. Imagine my surprise when I passed a wall and looked towards the shimmering sea and the sounds of cavorting and saw 7 Naked Ghosts Cavorting at the Beach!

Now, I was just talking with a friend recently about how the Bahamians I know are not the kind to be too impressed with celebrities or to rush to bother them and make a general nuisance of themselves but this was different. Sure, I could have stood in a line and met Johnny Depp at a BIFF party a few years ago but I sat around talking with regular folks instead. I stand in enough lines as it is.

This was different though. I opened the rusted gate, left the road, walked down the path to the shore and managed to snap this photo of 7 Naked Ghosts Cavorting at the Beach which I am sure you will enjoy immensely. Be careful not to stare too long or you may damage you eyes.
